About Meetup Hub
Built for the Whatnot seller community. Independent, unofficial, and run like a host standing at the door.

Bringing the Whatnot community together, one meetup at a time.
If you'd told me a few years ago that people selling everything from vintage treasures to trading cards on the internet would end up travelling hundreds, sometimes thousands, of miles just to meet each other, I'd probably have raised an eyebrow.
But here we are. And I absolutely love it.
There's something rather extraordinary about the Whatnot community. What starts as a username in a live chat can become a familiar face, a friendship, a business collaboration, or even someone you'd happily jump on a plane to go and have dinner with.
That's the magic of it all.
Whatnot has opened the door for everyday people to become entrepreneurs, build businesses, and create their own success. But somewhere between the auctions, the banter, the late nights, and the mountain of parcels waiting to be shipped, something else happens.
We build a community.
And while staring at each other through a screen is all well and good, nothing quite beats shaking someone's hand, sharing a meal, swapping stories, and discovering that the person you've been chatting to online for months is every bit as wonderful (or as wonderfully bonkers) in real life.
That's why meetups matter. And that's why Meetup Hub exists.
A little idea with a big community behind it.
Having had the privilege of attending numerous Whatnot meetups throughout 2026, I've seen firsthand just how powerful these gatherings can be.
Along the way, I've been watching, listening, and learning from the very people who make this community what it is.
One thing became increasingly clear. The community needed a dedicated place to discover, organise, and promote meetups. Somewhere that made bringing people together just that little bit easier.
The inspiration came in June 2026, in Syracuse, New York, while chatting with attendees at the official Hodgepodge Place meetup, hosted by Kristine of @thehodgepodgeplace.
Between conversations with friends Tony and Lasandra of @ilovediscounts_com, fellow sellers, and the Whatnot Community Team @whatnotsellers, something clicked.
And a very special shoutout to Casey @caseys_club and Kenny @silverdrip from the Whatnot Community Team, who always seem to turn up with a smile, plenty of enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for bringing people together.
Somewhere amongst all those conversations, laughs, and shared ideas, the seed for Meetup Hub was planted.
What started as a simple idea quickly turned into something much bigger.
Not long after launching, Meetup Hub had already welcomed its first 500 sellers.
And today, as I write this, we're rapidly approaching 1,000 sellers using the platform to discover events, bring communities together, make connections, and help each other succeed.
More than just a meetup.
Meetup Hub isn't simply about putting a date on a calendar or finding somewhere to grab lunch.
It's about creating opportunities.
Opportunities to turn online acquaintances into real friendships. To share knowledge and experiences. To collaborate, inspire, support, and celebrate one another.
Whether you're a seasoned seller, just starting your Whatnot journey, or someone who simply loves being part of this wonderfully eclectic community, there's a place for you.
And the best part? You don't have to wait for someone else to bring your community together.
Anyone can take the initiative, host a meetup, and create something special.
Built for the community. Inspired by the community.
Meetup Hub was created independently, with one simple goal: to make it easier for the Whatnot community to connect in the real world.
It's a platform shaped by the people who use it, the conversations we have, and the connections we make.
Because while Whatnot gives us the tools to build our businesses, it's the people we meet along the way who make the journey worthwhile.
Here's to more meetups, more friendships, more opportunities, and a whole lot more success together.
See you at the next meetup!

What one home holds
Getting together
Invite-only meetups, so a host decides who is in the room. Tickets through Stripe when there is a cost, with the $2 platform fee per ticket shown before anyone buys. Check-in at the door, guest lists for the plus ones, and reminders that actually land, by email or text.
After the evening
Every meetup keeps its own page once it has finished, with photos, a who was there list that attendees can add to, and a thank-you note you can send from the same place. Photos earn their own badges, because the person who took forty pictures did the work.
Finding people
Profiles that carry your state stamps, your connections, the hosts you rate and the meetups you have been to. Leaderboards, plus pages for every state, city and country where we have met, so someone in a town we have not visited yet can see it coming.
Looking after each other
A safety page and a set of expectations that say plainly what a host is and is not. A way to report conduct that reaches real people. Community helpers, members who lend a hand with the tidy-up work, never with anyone's account.
Why the colours and the stamps
Meetup Hub is a hearth, not a launchpad. Warm cream, deep roast, and a green that means go. The word COMMUNITY in our headlines sits on a block of colour that changes every time you visit, and the state stamps on your profile print in the same vibrant ramp. That is deliberate. A community that keeps changing should not be printed in one colour. Green is our go-to, but the rotation is the point.
The headings are set in Lilita One, which is a friendly sort of loud, and the body text is Inter, which stays out of the way. If you would like our logo or palette for something, everything is on the brand page.
What Meetup Hub is not
It is not Whatnot. Meetup Hub is an independent community project, not owned, run or endorsed by Whatnot, and it never asks for your Whatnot password. Whatnot's own mark only appears on links that take you straight to a Whatnot profile, so a logo always means a click that leaves here.
It is not a staffing agency either. Hosts are volunteers who give up an evening, not employees, and the venue and the people in it are everyone's shared responsibility. If something feels wrong at a meetup, leaving early is always the right call and nobody needs an explanation.
Day one
Meetup Hub opened in 2026. Anyone who registered during that first year carries the Day one badge on their profile, because being there before it was busy is its own kind of credential.
If you have been to a meetup here, you are part of the reason it keeps going. If you have not, the calendar is on the home page and most hosts are glad to see a new face. Something you would like to see here? Feedback sits in the footer on every page, and it reaches the same people who run this.
